View Design DetailsThe development of the 3-in-1 HandyClip was a meticulous process that involved multiple stages of ideation, prototyping, and user testing. Initially, we sought to address the common frustrations of on-the-go eating—specifically, the need for a secure, portable solution that also allows for hands-free video consumption. One of the significant challenges we encountered was ensuring that the HandyClip could function effectively as a handle, a secure seal, and a mobile stand. Balancing these functionalities without compromising stability was daunting. We conducted numerous iterations of design, utilizing 3D modeling and rapid prototyping to test different angles and spring mechanisms. User feedback was invaluable; many participants expressed the need for adjustable viewing angles, which led to the final design featuring two distinct angles. This iterative approach not only refined the functionality but also emphasized our commitment to user-centered design.
The inspiration behind combining eco-friendly materials with modern functionalities stemmed from a growing awareness of environmental issues and the consumer demand for sustainable products. Observing trends in conscious consumerism, we realized that people increasingly seek products that align with their values, especially regarding sustainability. Using recycled ABS and durable silicone was a deliberate choice; these materials not only reduce reliance on single-use plastics but also maintain longevity and usability. We envisioned the EcoDeli Meal Purse as a stylish accessory that fits seamlessly into contemporary lifestyles, allowing users to make responsible choices without sacrificing aesthetics.
