Music, as an art form, has an incredible power to resonate with the human soul, often bringing to mind intricate patterns and captivating ideas. I wanted to capture that feeling and translate it into something tangible. The lace-like structure reflects the delicate, layered nature of musical notes flowing together, while the modern touches give the collection a fresh, contemporary edge. For me, this collection is about balancing classical elegance with a modern twist, creating pieces that feel timeless yet completely relevant today. It’s my way of letting people wear a little piece of music’s harmony and rhythm in a form they can cherish every day.
The idea for the ring’s mirror-like interior came from my desire to amplify the natural beauty of the central stone using clever structural elements rather than relying solely on additional gems. By integrating reflective surfaces inside the setting, light is bounced back through the stone, creating a mesmerizing play of brilliance that feels almost infinite. Perfecting the angles required extensive testing and 3D modeling to ensure that each facet of the interior aligned perfectly with the stone’s cut. This approach creates a striking contrast between the airy lace-like exterior and the precise, light-catching interior — highlighting how thoughtful engineering can elevate elegance to a new level.
Sustainability is at the core of my design philosophy, and choosing lab-grown Colombian emeralds was a meaningful decision for this collection. I wanted to show that luxury and responsibility can coexist beautifully. Lab-grown stones reduce the environmental impact and ensure a transparent, ethical supply chain — which aligns with my brand’s values. Aesthetically, these emeralds offer the same vivid green hue and clarity as mined stones, allowing me to maintain the collection’s high visual standard while staying true to my ethical commitment. It’s a statement that today’s fine jewelry can respect nature and still captivate with timeless beauty.
The lace-like pattern is the soul of this collection and one of its most rewarding challenges. I aimed to make the design so thin and airy that it naturally created a lace-like effect, without losing the strength needed to hold each stone securely. Balancing that delicate look with real structural integrity was a challenge — every line and curve had to be carefully tested to stay strong yet feel weightless. In the end, this airy pattern is what ties the whole collection together, giving each piece a sense of movement and harmony that’s both timeless and modern.
Finding the right balance between visual impact and comfort was essential. I wanted each piece to feel bold yet weightless, so I carefully calculated the dimensions of each element during the design phase. Using 3D modeling, I tested various thicknesses and layer depths to ensure the structure stayed strong without becoming heavy. The lace-like openwork naturally reduced weight while adding an airy elegance. This attention to balance means the collection feels as luxurious to wear as it is to behold.
Working with precise angles is always a test of patience and skill, especially when the goal is to achieve perfect light reflection. This project took that much because it wasn’t the only project I was focused on at the time — I had ongoing orders and other design ides as well. Another factor was that the collection includes not just a ring but also earrings and a pendant, and each piece required its own unique design approach and problem-solving to get the details just right. One pivotal moment was deciding to experiment with the mirror-like interior of the ring — it was a risk, but it gave the set its distinctive character.
I hope the Diamond Lace Collection shows how classical inspiration can blend beautifully with modern design. By bringing together the rhythm of music, the airy feel of lace, and the precision of today’s technology, it pushes the limits of what fine jewelry can be. I believe future trends will move more toward this kind of thoughtful storytelling, where art and innovation go hand in hand. I’d love for this collection to encourage other designers to revisit classic ideas and re-imagine them in fresh, relevant ways. For me, it’s proof that true innovation doesn’t mean leaving tradition behind — it means transforming it for our time.
Placing so many diamonds into the earrings took a lot of careful planning and attention to detail. Each stone needed to be perfectly matched for size and clarity so they would look harmonious together. The arrangement wasn’t random — I used CAD to map out the pattern and then adjusted it by hand to find just the right balance between sparkle and open space.
