View Design DetailsThis process required focusing not only on the aesthetic aspects of the design, but also on the emotional and cultural experiences of the guests. A research process was initiated to convey the cultures represented for a restaurant and venue, where the project continues. Cuisines and traditions such as Indian, Italian, Asian, Turkish and Teppanyaki leave a deep impression not only with their dishes, but also with their aesthetics, lifestyle and traditional bindings. We worked with professionals how accurately and sensitively these cultural elements would be reflected in its design. For example, we focused on traditional color palettes, rich textures, and elements of craftsmanship in Indian culture. We used elegant, stylish and elegant lines for Italian design, while at the same time creating a peaceful atmosphere by highlighting minimalism and nature elements for Asian culture. By modernizing traditional motifs specific to Turkish culture, we blended traditional aesthetics with contemporary elements.
Awareness of protecting Caretta Caretta turtles at Liberty Signa Resort Hotel directly affected the architecture and lighting design. Strategic placements were made in the window placement, avoiding direct sea views and not preventing the turtles from heading towards the sea at night. As for lighting solutions, indirect lighting and hidden light systems were preferred in order to minimize light pollution. Thus, by creating natural dark environments throughout the hotel, the negative effect of night lights on the turtles was prevented. These designs offered an experience in harmony with nature, balancing both environmental responsibility and guest comfort.
In the restaurants at Liberty Signa Resort Hotel, we have blended elements specific to each culture with modern design elements to balance authentic cultural representation and contemporary luxury aesthetics. While traditional rich colors and textures were used in the Indian restaurant, a modern atmosphere was created with stylish marble and elegant lines in the Italian restaurant. While a peaceful environment is provided with minimalism and natural materials in Asian cuisine, traditional motifs are integrated with modern design in the Turkish restaurant. In each space, details reflecting cultural identity have been designed in harmony with a contemporary aesthetic. This approach enabled authentic elements to be presented in a modern format.
In the design of Liberty Signa Resort Hotel, local stones and natural materials were carefully selected to support both environmental sustainability and a luxurious ambiance. Local stones not only allowed us to make environmentally friendly choices, but also adapted to the natural texture of the region, allowing the hotel to integrate with nature. Natural wood and stones created an aesthetically elegant atmosphere while adding warmth and textural richness. While these materials provide solutions that increase energy efficiency, they also contribute to sustainability goals with local production and craftsmanship. Thus, we have made possible a high-quality luxury experience that does not harm nature.
To ensure design consistency while preventing monotony with the large scale and different themed areas of Liberty Signa Resort Hotel, we created a common design language and thematic harmony in every area. We adopted a consistent approach in terms of natural materials, color palettes and visual elements while offering unique experiences in areas such as different room types and restaurants. Each theme was customized with its own unique elements, but the overall design of each area created an interconnected unity as there were common elements such as fluid transitions, use of natural light and unique textures. So, although each section was unique, the overall aesthetic remained elegantly harmonious. This method provided a balance and visual richness between the spaces, despite the size of the hotel.
The aromatic garden was created by placing it in harmony with the general landscape of the hotel and using natural vegetation and aromatic herbs (such as lavender, mint, thyme). These plants provided both an environmentally friendly approach and a calming atmosphere supported by natural lighting and water features. The materials used in the garden were also selected from sustainable elements such as natural stones and wooden elements, thus resulting in a nature-friendly design. The aromatic garden has been integrated into various areas so that guests can relax, relieve stress and interact with the natural environment. The garden is positioned close to the spa and open spaces, so guests can take a walk or meditate while accompanied by the impressive scents of aromatic plants. At the same time, slow-paced walking paths in the garden supported the concept of healthy living and contributed to the overall wellness experience of the hotel. Cocktails prepared with freshly collected herbs from the aromatic garden are served to guests. The natural scents, calming effect and non-artificial natural beauty offered by the aromatic garden enabled guests to relax and establish a deeper connection with the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. This was an innovative feature that enriched the overall guest experience by combining the aesthetic and practical aspects of the design.
Since the lobby is the first impression of the hotel, we chose a magnificent and impressive design. Luxury materials, dramatic lighting and high ceilings provide an impressive welcome to guests a powerful expression of luxury. In other areas, we adopted simpler, natural and elegant designs so that guests can relax and feel a peaceful atmosphere. While this transition provides visual diversity, it also offers a smooth experience. While comfort and simplicity allow guests to relax and find inner peace, a holistic balance is created throughout the hotel. This contrast highlights each area's own identity, providing a dynamic experience.
Liberty Signa Resort Hotel's interior design strategy is designed to appeal to sophisticated international clients while establishing a strong connection with Turkey's coastal location. In the design, local cultural elements (local stones, handmade carpets, traditional patterns) are blended with modern and luxury elements, reflecting the historical and natural riches of Turkey. At the same time, an elegant, sophisticated atmosphere is created with minimalist lines, high-quality furniture and contemporary artworks. A comfortable experience is offered with technological facilities and sustainable materials in line with global luxury standards. This strategy successfully combines the hotel's cultural heritage with Turkey and international luxury expectations.
During the interior design process of Liberty Signa Resort Hotel, which won the Silver A' Design Award, our team encountered several unexpected challenges, but these obstacles enabled us to develop innovative solutions.1. Ground Conditions and Structural Obstacles:At the beginning of the project, it was noticed that the ground structure was weaker than expected and there were some structural obstructions on the structure. To overcome this situation, we have developed customized foundation strengthening techniques and modular design solutions. In this way, we ensured the safety of the structure and offered aesthetically elegant solutions.2. Eco-Friendly Material Selection:To achieve our sustainability goals, we faced challenges in using local and environmentally friendly materials. However, this obstacle has become surmountable thanks to innovative production methods and local collaborations. We minimized the hotel's environmental footprint by using both natural and sustainable materials.3. Light Pollution and Turtle Protection:Lighting management has posed a major challenge for the conservation of Caretta Caretta turtles. We solved this problem with indirect lighting solutions and low light emission systems. Thus, we created an aesthetic light atmosphere without harming nature.Such challenges encouraged innovative thinking and developing creative solutions during the design process, which led to the betterment of the project.
We focused on the different areas at Liberty Signa Resort Hotel, creating a unique personality for each, enriching the guest experience while providing a harmonious luxury holiday experience. Although each area has a unique atmosphere and stylish design, all spaces come together in harmony, adhering to the general design language. Calmness and relaxation were prioritized in the spa area. Natural materials, soft color tones and minimalist lines created a calm atmosphere that will relax the minds and bodies of the guests. This gave him a strong personality with simplicity and elegance. In the water park, a more energetic and entertaining environment was created with vibrant colors and dynamic forms. We made sure that each space had a liberating and joyful atmosphere, thus offering an unforgettable experience for families and children. In restaurants and other common areas, common elements such as natural materials and rich textures were used, while each theme had its own unique identity. Different cultural themes such as Indian, Italian, Asian have been harmoniously blended with modern luxury, allowing each space to develop a personality of its own. This design approach allowed guests to enjoy a different atmosphere at every moment, offering a holistic experience while preserving the uniqueness of each space.
