It is a company project dedicated to new energy-saving technologies. The design inspiration was drawn from energy transformation, reflected in the animation and simplicity of the interface. The one-page website contains information about the two main developments, application areas, and key clients. View Design DetailsTo develop the visual metaphor for energy transformation, I began by immersing myself in the core principles of the company’s technologies. Understanding how energy flows, transforms, and becomes more efficient allowed me to distill these abstract processes into intuitive visuals. I leveraged dynamic animations and transitions to represent energy flow, using gradients and motion to suggest transformation and efficiency. This metaphor not only visualizes the technical concepts but also engages the user, making complex ideas accessible and memorable. My goal was to ensure that even viewers without a technical background could grasp the innovation Encontech represents.
A single-page format was chosen to streamline user navigation and maintain a clear, cohesive storytelling flow. By presenting the content as a continuous narrative, I ensured that visitors would engage with the company’s innovations without feeling overwhelmed. This format also allowed me to integrate multimedia elements—such as animations and infographics—seamlessly, creating a dynamic experience that combines technical depth with accessibility. For a subject as complex as energy-saving technologies, this approach helped focus attention and reduced the risk of information fatigue.
Stakeholder interviews revealed that high-level decision-makers prioritize clarity, efficiency, and data-driven visuals. This insight guided my design choices, such as incorporating concise yet detailed explanations, interactive graphs, and data visualizations tailored to showcase the impact of the technologies. Focus groups also highlighted the need for a professional aesthetic that conveys trustworthiness and innovation. As a result, I emphasized clean typography, a restrained color palette, and intuitive navigation to align with the preferences of CEOs and engineers who often have limited time for exploration.
The animations were crafted to act as explanatory tools rather than decorative elements. I began by sketching key processes involved in energy transformation and worked closely with engineers to ensure scientific accuracy. Using Figma for prototyping and After Effects for animation design, I created smooth transitions that aligned with the user’s scroll, enhancing interactivity. Each animation was designed to reinforce a specific message, keeping them concise and purposeful, so they complemented the overall user experience without overwhelming the audience.
The primary challenge was translating highly technical information into a format digestible for both technical and non-technical audiences. I addressed this by simplifying jargon, using infographics to break down data, and employing visual storytelling techniques. Collaborating with the Encontech team, I distilled the essence of each technology into key takeaways and paired these with visually engaging animations and diagrams. Testing prototypes with diverse user groups helped refine the balance between technical depth and approachability.
Figma served as the foundation for wireframing, prototyping, and collaboration with developers, ensuring that design elements were responsive and functional. Illustrator allowed me to create high-fidelity vector graphics and infographics, which I then imported into Figma to align with the overall design system. For animations, I used After Effects, exporting them as lightweight assets optimized for web use. This toolchain ensured seamless integration, allowing the visuals, interactivity, and performance to work harmoniously across all platforms and devices.
Sustainability inspired every aspect of the design. The color palette incorporated greens and blues, evoking nature and energy, while gradients symbolized transformation and efficiency. Minimalistic layouts reduced visual clutter, mirroring the company’s value of efficient resource utilization. Additionally, I prioritized lightweight design elements and optimized assets to enhance loading speed and reduce the website’s carbon footprint, aligning the user experience with the company’s sustainable ethos.
Achieving this balance required a dual-layered approach. For technical audiences, I included detailed data visualizations and white papers accessible via links. For non-technical users, I focused on concise text, engaging infographics, and animations that conveyed the core ideas without requiring prior knowledge. By using a modular design, I allowed users to dive deeper into technical content or stay at a high level, depending on their needs.
Tbilisi’s vibrant design culture, with its focus on bold typography and geometric shapes, inspired some of the visual motifs in the project. My international experience brought a global perspective, ensuring that the design would resonate with diverse audiences. This blend of influences allowed me to create a visually distinctive website that adhered to international usability standards while incorporating unique local elements.
The website sets a benchmark for how complex scientific innovations can be communicated in an engaging and accessible manner. By combining visual storytelling with precise data, it not only educates but also inspires action. I hope it encourages other companies to adopt similar strategies, fostering greater awareness of sustainable technologies and driving the shift toward a more energy-conscious future.
