With a new brand identity, the design team prepared the CDU Hamburg better for the communication challenges of the future. The basis for the future work of the brand is the developed modular structure, which enables professional brand management for the evolving parties. At the same time, the design achieves design unity and flexibility, thus ensuring a unified brand appearance across different media and different target groups. The revised logo combines fresh colors and modern typography to reflect competence, progress and diversity.

The CDU, as a political institution, stands for stability, responsibility, and trust—qualities that we didn’t want to lose in the redesign. At the same time, we recognized that the political landscape was evolving, and the visual identity had to reflect the energy and dynamism of a contemporary political party.Here’s how we approached the balance:Core Values and Historical Continuity: We made sure that the foundational elements of the CDU’s identity were respected. The party's traditional color palette, particularly the strong use of blue and its association with trust and professionalism, was retained.
