View Design DetailsThe modular design was inspired by a desire to merge functionality with an engaging user experience. During initial brainstorming, we explored how packaging could serve not just as a container but also as a reusable, interactive element. Inspired by building blocks, we designed stackable units that enhance storage efficiency and encourage playful interaction. This approach aligns with modern consumer trends favoring practicality and sustainability, making the packaging a functional extension of the product.
The oil painting style was chosen to evoke nostalgia and warmth, connecting consumers to the joy and innocence of childhood. This artistic approach reflects the Sunboy brand's emphasis on authenticity and emotional resonance. By portraying children in sunflower fields, we established a narrative of nature, simplicity, and happiness, aligning with the product’s origins and emphasizing a sense of community and shared values.
Visiting Xinjiang’s sunflower fields was pivotal in shaping the design. The vibrant yellow captures the beauty of the fields at their peak, symbolizing vitality and abundance. This bold palette not only pays homage to the product’s origins but also ensures shelf visibility in a crowded FMCG market. The design reflects a blend of nature and modern branding, creating a compelling story that appeals to consumers seeking authenticity.
We employed a minimalist design approach, optimizing material usage while maintaining structural integrity. Transparent elements were integrated to showcase the product, enhancing visibility without adding bulk. This balance was achieved through iterative prototyping, ensuring the final design was both sustainable and visually appealing, satisfying consumer demands for eco-conscious yet attractive packaging.
The bulge technology was developed after studying user interactions with traditional snack packaging. It simplifies handling and pouring, reducing spillage and enhancing convenience. Tight coordination between our Shenzhen and Bayannaoer teams was key. We leveraged real-time collaboration tools and conducted frequent virtual reviews to ensure alignment. A clear design brief and strong internal workflows enabled rapid iterations without compromising quality. Additionally, our prior experience with similar projects allowed us to anticipate challenges and streamline execution.
